WITH LOVE YOU COULD CREATE ANYTHING
God so loved the world that He gave Jesus to the world. Jesus then is a gift of love from God to the world. 2Cor. 5:19 says “To wit, that God was in Christ….” That is remarkable. God was in the Gift that He had given. A man’s gift (donation) is an icon of his personality, a representation of his profile, whom he truly is. That’s another good reason to be careful what we give to God as offerings and seeds in church, and the kind of gift we give to people too. Consider for a moment the gift which the Queen of Sheba gave to Solomon when she visited him. “And she gave the king an hundred and twenty talents of gold, and of spices very great store, and precious stones: there came no more such abundance of spices as these which the queen of Sheba gave to king Solomon” (1Kings 10:10). The value of that amount of gold in today’s market is more than a quarter of a million USD. The gold was countable/measurable, but observe that the precious stones and the spices were in such great quantities that they were not even counted or measured. Recall that this was a gift given in a single instance. The queen of Sheba understood that a man’s gift is a representation of the man’s person; how much value one places on oneself. No wonder God gave Jesus, the exact representation of Himself. The queen wanted to be held in very high esteem by Solomon so she gave a historic gift.
Christ is the express image of the Father God. God is love. This means that Jesus is love. Therefore, when Jesus said “…he that hath seen me hath seen the Father…” (John 14:9) and when he alluded to His oneness with the Father in John 17:11, He was, as always, saying the truth. He was saying, precisely, “God is love and I am love.” Since God created the world through Jesus, and Jesus is love, it means then that God created the world by love. The very words that He spoke, which resulted in all that we see that were made by Him, were words of love resulting in creations of love. How were the things God created creations of love? The Lord God created everything else before he made man. “In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep...” (Gen. 1:1-2). Imagine man living in a world like that. God, out of love for man, first of all, spoke those words of love that created all that was necessary for man, the object of His love, to live a happy life on earth. Love, therefore, is at the root of all godly creations.
Anything can be created by love. Even the very process of pure procreation in humans is a function of love. The man sows a seed of love in his wife and that results in a beautiful creation after nine months. It’s simply amazing! Let the love of God be shed abroad in your heart. When you do nothing shall be impossible to you, for with that you can create anything you want. God bless you!
