BUT...WHAT HAPPENED?

As a child in your dreams

I saw you in your dreams!
In your cars you did "zoom"
Even in the living room.

When up in the sky
Your kite you did fly,
'Twas a kite that others saw;
But your private jet you saw.

At the beach and on the wet sand
You built castles with your hand
With smiles, at them you beamed
On and on you lived and dreamed

I saw you in your dreams!
"When I grow up I will be..."
This phrase was all your hymns
You were sure dreams come to be.

I saw you in your dreams!
But...what happened to those dreams?
Like you rebuilt those castles of sand
So your life rebuild with your hand.

Though the righteous may seven times fall
Yet again shall he leap over the wall
"Daughter, be it to you as you will"
For surely is the Most High's will.
